Ramakrishna first met his Guru, Sri Kaleshwar, in 1997. He moved to India shortly after and ended up staying 15 years studying at the feet of this great saint. He was one of the senior-most students of this great master and the only student to receive the initiation of sannyasin. Sri Kaleshwar taught how accessing the energies of power spots is one of the most necessary and genius short-cuts in all of spirituality.
Ramakrishna brings 35 years of spiritual experience and knowledge of advanced esoteric Vedic practices, including Yogic, Siddhic, and Shakti traditions, as well as a great sense of humor!
-
Bhramari has been coordinating and leading power journeys to India with Ramakrishna for the past eight years. She works closely with him in planning every aspect of the journey to ensure travelers have the best possible experience—from exploring its spiritual treasures, to having healthy and safe foods, to finding the best accommodations possible.
She brings a warm heart, a deep love and respect for India, and a dedication to ensuring everyone has the best possible experience.
-
Tatyanna lived as a close disciple of Sri Kaleshwar at his ashram in India for over 12 years. She went on an intensive path of initiation and experience with him and her own experiences and profound understanding of the teachings inspire her today to accompany other practitioners in their own spiritual development. With clarity, purity of heart, authenticity, a good sense of humor, and a soft and connecting spirit she inspires people to walk the path of Self-Discovery and realization with pure dedication, determination and love for the Divine. She teaches in English and German.
-
Tobias was also a close friend of Sri Kaleshwar and lived at his ashram in Penukonda for over 12 years. His spiritual studies focused on self-inquiry, Kaleshwara Vaastu and learning Telugu - the language in which most of the ancient palm leaf books were written. Together with Tatyanna, Tobias was trained by Sri Kaleshwar and commissioned to continue his work in Europe. He is a highly valued teacher, healer and friend. Whenever there is a challenge, that is when the fun begins for Tobias. You will benefit from his insightful nature and focused, calm presence during our journey.
-
Jenniver met Sri Kaleshwar in 2005 and lived at his ashram for several years, practicing under his direct guidance. She is part of the team that is bringing this spiritual lineage to Europe and is currenlty living in Bavaria. She serves as a Kaleshwara Yoga teacher, spiritual coach, and healer. Jenniver has a lot of creativity which she loves to share with the world. You can approach her for any support during our journey. She is easy going, has a good sense of humor and loves to help others.
-
A month after Hana met Sri Kaleshwar in the Czech Republic in 2009, she traveled to India to live and study primarily in his ashram until his mahasamadhi in 2012. Inspired by his humanitarian work, she and others founded Baba's Table in Brno in 2011, which is still active today, feeding over 150 people every Sunday. Hana is the driving force behind the Kaleshwar Mission in the Czech Republic. Together with the local team, she runs the Kaleshwara Yoga Center in Brno, conducts fire ceremonies, offers the Kaleshwara Yoga course program in Czech, and gives Sai Shakti healings. Hana speaks German, English and Czech.
FAQs
-
This is a physically demanding high-altitude pilgrimage that includes extensive travel, long driving days, walking, hiking, uneven terrain, and possible challenging weather conditions.
The Kailash Kora takes place at very high altitude and participants should prepare seriously in advance. We will give guidelines to help you prepare. -
Much of the journey takes place between approximately 12,000–18,000 feet (3,650–5,500 meters), including the Kailash region. Altitude affects everyone differently, and proper preparation is essential.
-
No. While many participants intend to complete the full Kailash Kora, there will also be options for those who feel called to do a partial Kora experience instead. Because altitude and physical endurance affect each person differently, we will discuss the various options in greater detail during the application and introductory consultation calls to help determine the best approach for each participant.
-
Yes. Participants have the option to hire a horse (often referred to locally as a pony) for the 3-day Kailash Kora. While this can significantly reduce the physical strain of the trek, there are certain sections where all participants must walk for safety reasons — particularly the steep descent from the Dolma La Pass.
Horses are arranged locally in Darchen prior to beginning the Kora and must typically be hired for the full 3-day circuit, even if only used for portions of the journey. Costs are set by local Tibetan associations and are paid directly in cash. Current estimates are approximately $350–$515 USD, though pricing may change closer to the pilgrimage.
We will discuss these options in greater detail during the application and introductory consultation process so participants can make the best decision based on their physical condition, comfort level, and pilgrimage goals.
-
Many participants feel uncertainty before undertaking the Kailash Kora, especially due to the altitude and physical demands of the journey. During the application and consultation process, we will discuss your health history, physical readiness, and the different participation options available — including partial Kora participation or horse support where appropriate.
The most important qualities are sincerity, preparation, openness, and honest communication about your physical condition.
-
Our Tibetan guides and support staff are experienced in assisting with altitude-related health concerns and emergencies. We will travel with oxygen at all times, conduct regular oxygen level checks, and have trained medical support available throughout the journey.
Before departure, we will carefully review altitude preparation, hydration, pacing, medications, and safety protocols so participants feel informed and supported throughout the pilgrimage.
-
Yes. The itinerary has been intentionally designed to support gradual acclimatization as we ascend into higher elevations. Beginning in Xining and traveling by train into Tibet allows the body additional time to adjust naturally before entering the Kailash region.
Throughout the journey, we will move carefully, encourage proper hydration and rest, monitor participants closely, and support the group in acclimating as safely and comfortably as possible.
